About 9 months ago, I was in a weird place.
On one hand, I was in a pretty dark place. After my grandmother died, I went into a complete emotional shut down. I spent most of my days smoking weed and trying to get myself to do literally ANYTHING.
It was really difficult because I’m the leader of my team, and I’m also seen as a person who represents hope, possibility and inspiration for hundreds of thousands of people. It’s safe to say that during this time, I didn’t feel like being “Mr. Motivation.”
How was I supposed to encourage others when I was just struggling to keep my head above water?
I felt like I was at the end of my rope, spiraling into the abyss.
But strangely enough, this level of pain was a blessing in disguise. I used all my anguish, emotion and introspection to complete an incredible amount of creative work including:
-
Finishing my debut book, Rich20Something (which is available for preorder right now)
-
Writing over 90 articles
-
Producing a “secret project”
And today, I finally get to unveil the secret.
Introducing…
Rich20Something: The Mixtape

I never, ever thought I’d make a mixtape. I’m not a rapper. But I do have a lot to say.
Why a mixtape?
First of all, because it’s fucking awesome.
But also because it’s a unique way for me to help you figure out what’s going on in your life — from the perspective of someone who is just a few steps ahead.
It includes 9 tracks that cover everything that goes on in the life of a REAL entrepreneur. Not the fake stuff you see on Instagram that’s all highlight reel and no substance.
From the highs of getting motivated and making money, to the lows of family struggles and self-doubt — you’ll get to take a peek inside my life and find little pieces of yourself.
I know you’ll be able to relate to this.
Am I the first author to promote a major book release with a mixtape?
Maybe. Maybe not.
But I am your FAVORITE author to do so 🙂

It ain’t always glamorous, my friends. But it is worth it.
