Hello, Very interesting thoughts. Reassuring thoughts, no less. Sticking to one thing is something I've never enjoyed doing. However, I've stuck at things for a long time, as I have a tendency to change my mind a lot (purely due to boredom). So if I jumped every time I felt like I needed a change, I'd never sit still. On the other hand, getting wider experience than I have now - and doing all the different things I enjoy - is something I've denied myself from doing for years, as I get overwhelmed when I have too much to do and not enough time to organise myself. I'm lucky in that money isn't an issue for me and hasn't been for most of my life. I think the reverse of what you say is true, too: those who have money can hopefully imagine a life with a lot less. Money allows me to lead a comfortable life without the stress of not being able to pay my rent and bills, but I have more than I need (I don't spend much), so it's currently going into savings. End goal is to buy a house... or maybe gain the freedom you speak of here, and pursue other opportunities. Great, insightful read :)
Hey Ben! Welcome and glad you found the post helpful. I totally agree with you on changing my mind a lot. Although, contrary to popular belief, it's NOT because I'm indecisive, but rather because there are so MANY things I enjoy. I kinda get the sense you're the same way, no?
